Manifesto- Nakita Shelley

  • Don’t rush my creative process.
  • Write down anything and everything that inspires me or makes me think or feel normal or different.
  • Don’t get too comfortable with work.
  • Never stop creating.
  • Stay positive and supportive to self.
  • Try again and again until I can love the results.
  • Find the motives behind all work.
  • Don’t start something if I don’t have the skill.
  • Work at everything I can get my hands on.
  • Be well informed.
  • Get out of comfort zone.
  • Make breaks worthwhile.
  • Let others be, but be my own person.
  • Revisit past experiences as possibilities.
  • Try to be inclusive in work.
  • Get lots of critique and collaboration.
  • Save the late night hours for production.
  • Be risky with opinions.
  • Don’t try to make something its not.
  • Ignore my doubts most of the time
  • Use time more valuably.
  • Never get rid of anything that has ever had any potencial.
  • Be willing to try new things.
  • Keep track of progress.
  • Create something that can last or be documented.
  • Be willing to have a conversation.
  • Always observe what's around me.
  • Keep working space filled with progress and curiosities.
  • Let things go to grow.
