"Previous Strokes"
It’s pretty strange to look back on this, as I look over it I feel a rush of nostalgia, a rekindling of old memories. Like one does when they come across a movie they may have watched as a kid, or as we rediscover a favorite snack we ate for the very first time. This feeling is one more of a remnant though, leftovers of passion. To one outside of it, or even myself years later it just seems chaotic, throwing stuff at the wall half hazardly. I don't think this is the case however, I wish I could go back to that moment, look inside to see what was happening, what I was thinking. Why I created what I did, the feelings as I swept my brush across the canvas, in various colors of paint, both short and long strokes. Even the most abstract and chaotic things have a purpose, a reason for their creation and process. But in the end, we can only speculate, assume, and dream what those deep reasons and drives could be. And I think that's whats the most interesting looking back on this, the reason for creation.
(I typed then read this aloud as a timer ticked for one minute to check its length)
