I think one of the best parts of visiting new places is getting to see the little glimmer of a community there. That a place is lived in and loved. Every place is special to someone, carries a sense of home to them. When I first started at my job - nothing impressive, just working at a fast food place - I really didn’t want to be there. But the simple fact of the matter is that humans manage to make wherever they spend their time become a home to them. With little post it notes and doodles put on cork boards things became familiar. It’s like with the studios at school, or in the case of this picture, with a book store. There’s a sense of history and a story in this picture, with the space made specifically for the cat. Like the cat has just as much a right to be here as any patrons, if not more.
