pam madsen creative future

Creative Future
My creative thinking has involved in the following ways. Number one is my confidence. Many times throughout the class I thought to myself there is no way I can do that project. I am not creative enough. I would look at others work and think mine or my idea was stupid. I come to learn that I am creative in my own way and if I let go of my straight lines I am creative. I have a couple projects I am still working on. I am working on the goat foot prints and the goat within me. I think someone actually wanting to buy something creative I did gave me confidence as well. I learned to get past my fears of interacting with others to come up with ideas.
I think differently a many different ways. One of the projects we did of sensory depervation taught me to close my eyes and just sit and listen, when I do this all kinds of things pop into my mind. Some seem impossible to do others seem so simple that I think to myself why didn’t I think of that earlier. I don’t judge my projects as much as I used to. So I just roll with it then fix what I think needs fixed. Sometimes what I think needs fixed don’t, so I try to just let it go for a few days and if I still don’t like it then I will change it.
The projects that helped me the most was having the little pop ups and letting others see my work. I usually just keep stuff to myself. I have a fear of being judged but these projects helped me. I think some of the most interesting projects where done out of the book. The one we did with the senses I really enjoyed that. Brainstorming on what to put on that page. Learning that we are all not the same in what we pick or how it looks or why we pick it. The sensory of the butterflies was fun as well. Messy but fun. I again wanted to fix stuff, but let it go. And the more I look at it the more I like it. I got a frame and now have it hanging on my wall. LOL, I have learned that I can use all kinds of things to make a project, hay, goat poop, goat hair, cat hair. Whatever is laying around. I don’t always have to plan things out. I learned that I can make something with almost nothing and have it be creative. Again I didn’t know I had the creativity in me, I just need my teacher to show me how to let it go.
In 5 years I hope to be doing vet radiology, being creative will help me if I start my own business and need to do some marketing. I think being creative helps me relax and let things go more. I enjoy animals and love to take photos of them, but I want to do more with them, like the goat prints, photos of their sole. More interesting photos of just an animal walking around. I want to go deeper. I would like to be selling some projects on the side to support my hobby. I see integrating my creative practice almost daily. I come up with creative ways just to live and support myself, but seriously I will be using my creative to relax and do more projects with odd objects.

At 50 I hope to be living on a goat farm taking care of all my kids. And living a great life. I will always be into photography, and hope to take some more classes on being even more creative. My plan is to finish snow college then get a degree in radiology and I am thinking it will be in animal radiology, find a good job for a while and save up some money, then open my own practice, I would like to have a mobile van with the radiology and ultrasound equipment to help animals. I need my creative to make some marketing photos and also to paint my van. The main map in my life it to finish school and find the right job, just keep plugging away and I know I will get there, it may take some time because I am older but I will get there one way or another.
