Persona -Eduardo Larios

Persona

My Persona

Name: Marco Jovianan
Age: 20
Born: 144 S.E (Stellar Era)
Favorite color: blue
Race: Human (N.E: stand for next evolution, living in space made Marco have spacial awareness and adapt to the harsh conditions of space)
Notes:
  • Emotionless
  • Loves french fries
  • Loves dogs
  • Hates spiders
  • Decided personality
  • Has a scar in his chest
  • Always straight to the point.

-A very reserved person which doesn’t trust anyone except for his family and his friends from the military academy. Picky with the foods, and is into high fashion, unfortunately being in the military doesn’t let him express too much in the fashion department. Lives in a mansion of the Ace pilot of Jupiter Alexander Trensnov. Cares for domestic animals such as dogs, cats, horses, etc.

-Brief Story
A Gundam pilot named Marco, an orphan who grew up in the small orphanage in a colony close to Jupiter’s moon was adopted at an age of 10 years old by the ace of the Jupiter Royal monarchy. He went into military training at the age of 20 in the Royal military of Jupiter (R.A.J). Suddenly a terrorist attack from the E.F.F led to the Marco piloting the Light bringer Gundam and take revenge against the E.F.F.

Gundam Lightbringer

  • Made out of Jovian Metal, a lightweight metal that is so strong that common artillery is not effective and can withstand the harsh winds of Jupiter’s clouds.
  • Energy: has 4 fusion reactors in the main MS and one in the backpack.
  • Has 2 mounted railguns in his backpack.
  • 2 funnels
  • 2 beam sabers
  • Jovian OS (an operating system that sends waves to the pilot’s brain telling it to make the most effective strategy)
  • Burst mode: is when the MS unleashed the full potential of the for fusion reactors enhancing the MS in all departments, but using the burst mode for long periods of time might overload the reactor and in worst case scenario the machine might explode.
  • Design for CQC.

Process.

I put a lot of attention to details when it comes to technology, like the jovian metal that is a specific metal that can only be found in the cores of Jovian moons and is hard to extract and the only ones who have access to it are Jupiter’s Empire. I always think, how technology would be in the future when designing the Gundams and the technology.

For my persona was easier, in a few words is what kind of character I wish to be if I was in a Gundam universe. I put attention on my qualities and disadvantages, how would I look with military training, my fashion style, etc. My sign colors and ways of how would I express.

This approach is important because I want to be an animator at sunrise studios that works on Gundam and working in such projects would be a dream come true and I take this as a practice for it.

Okay, so when I was thinking about what kind of persona I'd like to do, I was thinking of a near-complete polar opposite of my artistic beliefs. Which is an absolute contemporary artist using simple, grey, and angular aesthetics. I just wanted to cal it Illum, and I'd imagine them being a posh, cocky dickhead that I'd want to kick in the testicles. He'd probably like mushrooms too since he's an opposite of me, and it would only make sense.

Persona - Becky Weber

an attempt to capture the surface of passing gas giant planet.

A nebula I saw from the window, I hope to return and explore some of it.

A rare planet with a thick neon field around it - we will be sneaking onto this one soon. I drew this while we worked out our infiltration plans.

My name is Zvezda. A space pirate - well, ex-space pirate if you're the authorities. There was some trouble with the last ship I was on and resulted in me losing my left arm and ultimately leaving that crew. Luckily I slipped away with enough money to get my own ship and to buy a bionic replacement. Bionic arms don't have nerves so I have to relearn how to hold things and to apply enough pressure to be secure but not to break. Crayons are a good way to practice, although it can be rather costly depending on what planets I'm able to get my supplies from. It results in many broken crayons. If I had a nickle for every crayon I broke during just one drawing I'd have enough money to pay back those good for nothing scoundrels that back stabbed me. I wasn't left handed or nothing before the accident, and I'm no artist, so these are what they are, don't go expecting Van Gogh.

This was actually fun to do! I really did do all of these pictures with my left hand (I really am right handed) and then when I was done I decided to paint my hand to try and make it look bionic like. I'm not gonna claim it's the best looking bionic hand but it was really fun to do anyway!

1 Image 1 Minute - Rylie Muir

This is a photo of my grandma, Beverly. I never knew her. My mother never had a high opinion of her, so I barely knew any stories about her--what I did have were old, negative memories that my mother used for sympathy. Now, I have entered a point in my life where I can not only learn and express more about myself, but also learn about my history and my family. This specific photo was taken before Bev was diagnosed with cancer, and it was her last big trip. She lived in Utah and then later Wyoming, and didn't leave much from either of those places. This was a trip she took all the way to New York with my aunt Ange. Here, she’s in front of the Saks building that she was excited to visit, but wasn't actually able to enter. My aunt took the photo, while her husband had to drive around the block in the meantime because there wasn't any parking nearby.

I think most people can agree that there is something almost transcendent about decrepitude.
To me, there is almost no greater reminder of the inevitability of time than deteriorating buildings.
The image of these ruins, no doubt once a formidable and imposing structure, worn down by nature,
war, or eventual neglect, speaks something to the relationship of humanity, creation, and the world we
inhabit. Yet even in its seemingly deserted condition, what remains of this former edifice has developed
its own serene beauty. The crumbling stonework exhibits colors and textures that were not originally
a part of its design, and forms shapes and silhouettes at the hands of nature. The detail of the
craftsmanship contrasts with the organic fluidity of the trees and clouds against the sky.
Though transformed from their original state and purpose, these ruins remain, and will very likely
remain for a great space of time to come, chronicling years past. To some degree, it puts life into
perspective, to recognize that we exist for just a brief moment, that the span of a lifetime is relatively
insignificant against this enduring monument.

New Family

A dash of red in a sea of green. These mysterious figures in the middle of Yellowstone were unknown to me until recently. Now, they are a part of my family. The photo was taken on a family outing during the summer of 2016. The photographer, Morgan Alleman, was going on a trip with her household as a graduation celebration. Shown here are Kyle, Keegan, and Seth Alleman. In the distance, the Teton Range is peaking through the fog. It is a fuzzy, almost dreamlike, and slightly surreal image that captures my feelings of this new phenomena of expanding my family. When this photo was taken, I had no idea who any one of these figures was, or who the photographer was. They were just another mysterious group in the endless expanse of human experience beyond my scope. Now, they are all a part of me and my identity.

Title: Woman posing with her Dragon shaped shadow.

In quarantine, I've been stuck home. I spend the majority of my day inside with nothing to do. When I have ample time alone, I tend to daydream. This picture is the cheesiest rendition of what I've been thinking about for the majority of this quarantine. Daydreaming about the life outside of my home and outside of this world. The woman may just have a random dragon shadow, but I think it represents what's going on inside her head. I believe that many people are living their lives inside their head, daydreaming constantly. I believe they are playing characters or even creatures in vast worlds, becoming the hero and having in-depth plots. I've seen these daydreamers play out scenes in their minds by quietly talking to themselves, or even moving their arms as if they were acting out a play. I can only imagine when it comes to daydreamers what they are feeling when they are in quarantine and have only themselves to spend time with. In quarantine, I am beginning to understand why they daydream as severely as they do.

Crackhead in the Making

There he is… This boy here would probably get you into so much trouble. Little would he know that he’d eat batteries and bedposts. Little would he know that he would end up being diagnosed with Asperger's and have to live the rest of his life feeling like a fish out of water. He’s gonna grow up having to stay up every night just to get normal homework done and have little time to get a goddamn mental break. Look at him! He’s holding a fucking pumpkin completely unaware of what lies ahead. Hell, he probably ate the thing during the photo shoot. The most he’s gone through is falling into a rose bush just to see a dog in the backyard! He’s a train wreck, a mess, and he probably smells bad. The worst part about all of this is that I can’t can even warn him, and just in case if you couldn’t tell that’s my dumbass.

Notes: So I think I hold a great resentment towards myself and what I have to deal with. At times I want to go back in time and tell him what's ahead, being prepared for the worst of it. It's quite blunt and literal, so I think I achieved it.

“Denali and Wonder Lake” By Ansel Adams
The photo is in black and white tones, it depicts a mountain in the background.  There is an incredible amount of detail in the photo, we can see snow drifts, shadows on the hills and in the mountains. The hill shows the strands of grass, areas of large deep shadows and spots of dirt. In the lake we see reflections of trees, sunlight hills and the mountain. The small amount of illumination shows the clouds and imperfections in the atmosphere. The foremost ground in the photo is the darkest, the midground in the photo shows us the mid tones in the photograph the mountain is the brightest and further away area in the photograph. The contrast between the sky and the darker tones of the sky and mountains is fantastic. The width of the photo allows the viewer to explore the details and scenery that the photographer captured.

Rainy Days

A Storm and a Rose
Cold strikes, Wind blows. You stand in a storm's eye. Alone and weary. Delicate yet strong. You wait, and wait, and wait. "When will it come?" You ask. The wind answers, "When it is ready" Unsatisfied and exasperated you wait. Seeping roots deeper and deeper. Nothing for so long. Time seems frozen but for the drops of water crashing down. Clash! clang! creak! It comes and rips at you, Tearing away your softest features. Leaving nothing but thorns. It hurts, but you know this day would have come despite the storm. Still you struggle on and whisper, "This is not the end." The storm slowly disappears from your surroundings. The little hope you had strengthens. You may now begin again.

I am extremely fond of poems especially in story form. So I decide to write a short story about this picture that sounds like a poem. I wanted to embody the life of a Rose and what happens when the weather changes. This can also be taken as a metaphor. As someone goes through life there will always be something that stands in their way. But as long as you don't let the challenge break your spirit, you can always come back and try again.

1 Image 1 Minute

This photo was taken before the New Year. Me and my friends just chilling and then we decided to record this special moment. Everyone in the photo studies in different countries and Universities, so Christmas break was the only time we could enjoy the vacations together. We got to move from our favorite spot because it was already taken. Fortunately, we found a new one which was better. We didn’t mind the quality of the photo or our aspects, we just go with what we got and we took the photo at 12:07 am, January 1, 2020. After we took the photo we just smoke, drink and celebrate the new year, which was one of the best moments in my life, just chilling with people I trust. This moment and photo made me realize that the place I truly belong to is in a shitty country named Nicaragua were I can fully be myself.

I think one of the best parts of visiting new places is getting to see the little glimmer of a community there. That a place is lived in and loved. Every place is special to someone, carries a sense of home to them. When I first started at my job - nothing impressive, just working at a fast food place - I really didn’t want to be there. But the simple fact of the matter is that humans manage to make wherever they spend their time become a home to them. With little post it notes and doodles put on cork boards things became familiar. It’s like with the studios at school, or in the case of this picture, with a book store. There’s a sense of history and a story in this picture, with the space made specifically for the cat. Like the cat has just as much a right to be here as any patrons, if not more.

The photographer captures a moment in time expressed through a black and white photograph. A child looks forward into the distance as wind rushes through her hair and fluffs up her dress. The upward angle at which this photo was taken makes the child look brave, and the hair frozen in time signifies a breath of freedom.  Healthy tree leaves are peeking into the corner of the photograph which implies this little girl is jumping or standing on something high in the air. There are bright highlights and very dark shadows that indicate the sun was high in the sky, which leaves a bold impression on the image. Strong leaves and short sleeves reveal the time of year when the weather is warm and there’s a gentle summer breeze. As the child gazes forward, we are left to wonder what she could be looking at and what will happen next.

The Power of motivation
12 January, 2016

To me this picture is sending a big message. In everyone's life, there is at least going to be one person or more that will try and shut us down. We can’t let their words affect us. What we need to do is just ignore their words and look at the positive side. From this photo, I am getting that we need to not think of ourselves as the pawns of others' lives and think of ourselves as the king or queen. We are the ones that have the power of what goes on around us and what we choose to do with what we hear. So we should all start thinking and believing that we are the kings and queens and not the pawns of the others around us.

Shitpost account on instagram: software2050

A traditional thing at one point in my life was open mic night at this christian cafe in town.
This event took place every other Thursday.
Within my friend group it was almost like a prefriday because we didn’t have classes on fridays.
My friend liked to sing there and sometimes another friend would tag along and beat box.
Among this tradition we would go to Mcdonald's to get cheap college food.
We ate our food and in walked this guy with a motorcycle helmet.
He was a cutie that I haven’t seen at the college before so he was likely a local.
I told my friends I want to leave my number on his bike.
I fantasized riding off on this bike with this stranger.
He texted me back and we had decided to go out for pizza.
I wore my most epic motorcycle fit only to be picked up in a truck.

I went to one of my favorite shit posting accounts to find an image that sparks a connection to my life
in some way. My challenge with this project wasn't really about finding an image it was pairing text with
an image that I didn't create. This is why I picked a shit post because nobody really cares deeply about
them.
